About

About OFW Connect

OFW Connect is the global community hub for Overseas Filipino Workers — and the central meeting point for all three OFW network sites.

The OFW Network

We run three regional information sites to help OFWs navigate life abroad:

  • OFW Europe — Country guides, news, and practical resources for OFWs across European countries.
  • OFW Asia — Information and updates for OFWs in Asia and the Middle East.
  • OFW Americas — Resources for OFWs in North, Central, and South America.

OFW Connect is where the community comes together. The forums are the connection point — whether you read the guides on the regional sites or dive into discussions here, you will find the people and knowledge you need.

What we offer

  • Country forums — Find fellow OFWs in your host country, ask questions, and share experiences.
  • Community groups — Join groups by country, profession, or interest.
  • Regional guides — Practical information on visas, jobs, health, and finances across all three OFW network sites.

Our mission

We believe every OFW deserves a strong community. Whether you have just arrived in a new country or have been away for years, OFW Connect — together with OFW Europe, OFW Asia, and OFW Americas — helps you find the people, information, and support you need, no matter where in the world you are.

Get involved

This is a community built by OFWs, for OFWs. Create an account, introduce yourself in your country forum, and start connecting.

Who this is for

Every Filipino who works or lives abroad, and the families who support them at home: new arrivals looking for answers, long-time residents with advice to share, and anyone who simply misses a Filipino conversation.

House rules

  1. Be kind. We are all far from home. Treat everyone the way you would want to be treated.
  2. Protect yourself and others. Never share passport numbers, bank details or other private information in public posts.
  3. No scams, no recruitment fees. Do not post job offers that ask for money. Report anything suspicious to the moderators.
  4. No hate, harassment or spam. Posts that attack people or advertise unrelated products will be removed.
  5. Share what you know, check what you read. Rules differ by country and change often. Confirm important information with official sources such as DMW, OWWA or your embassy.
